(LREM) that was elected in the French National Assembly on 18 June 2017 to represent the Department of Val-de-Marne.

In the latter part of 2018, Saint-Martin was invited to be a part of the government of Premier Edouard Philippe but declined the position of Secretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance under the direction by Bruno Le Maire. In June, Philippe entrusted him with an obligation to improve the national system for recognition, seizure and forfeiture of illegal assets. Since the year 2020, Saint-Martin is the main rapporteur of the French parliament in the year-end budget for France and succeeded Joel Giraud.
