O’Sullivan was summoned in squad-training camps twice before she was given her debut in the Wales senior team under the manager Jayne Ludlow on 2 March 2016, in an 2-2 draw against Finland in their first group game in the Cyprus Women’s Cup, less than 18 months since she was relegated to goalkeeper. She was a part of Wales two more group games with Czech Republic and Poland as they fell at the stage of group play. In October of 2017 she was awarded the 2017 the Welsh footballer of the Year. She recorded five clean sheets in Wales’s qualifying tournament for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, including a Player of The Award against England on the 6th April of 2018.
She started her career at Cardiff City, making her debut when she switched to playing goalkeeper in the year 2015. In 2016 she made her debut on the international stage in the national team of Wales during the Cyprus Women’s Cup.

O’Sullivan had a slow start in football. Because of difficulties getting transportation, she never played during her teenage years and, at one point, gave up the sport in a move which she later admitted she regrets. Only beginning to play the sport frequently since 2011, started playing as a defensive player and was a player for Cardiff City, but switched to goalkeeper after playing the position several times when the team was struggling to find a reliable goalie.
She took on the goalkeeper position fully in December 2014 and, following her impressive performance for Cardiff’s reserve team, she was able to break into the team’s first-team. In her debut season as a senior she was able to establish herself as the first-choice goalkeeper, and received the Coaches Player of the Award at the conclusion of the 2014-15 season.
O’Sullivan joined FA WSL 1 side Yeovil Town on 17 September 2017, alongside Welsh international teammate Hannah Miles. However, she was released by the club without playing a game in November that year, and subsequently joined Cyncoed Ladies in the Women’s Welsh Premier League.
