On the 8th of February, 2011 Kisel renewed his contract as a player with Sydney FC for the upcoming 2011-12 A-League Season. He was not allowed to participate at the AFC Champions League due to Sydney FC’s foreign slots being filled. Kisel’s final match with Sydney FC was the away elimination Final with Wellington Phoenix on 30 March 2012.

In spite of Sydney FC offering a new contract, Kisel declined the offer and returned to the Czech Republic to continue his study of law. In June of 2010, he signed a one-year contract at Slavia Prague. Kisel was captain for in the 2011-2011 Gambrinus liga. Kisel was in his final game for Slavia Prague with a 3-1 win against Bohemians 1905.

Kisel was on and off the Slovakian national team since his first appearance in the 2002 season. He was also a part of several games with the Slovakian U-21 team. He took part in several games during Slovakia’s bid to be a part of in 2006’s FIFA World Cup in Germany and made his debut goal during qualifying Slovakia’s 4-0 win over Luxembourg.

Kisel confirmed on November 28, 2013 that he would retire after Slavia’s match against Liberec on Monday 1 December.
