Kadri Veseli is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on May 31, 1967 in Mitrovica, Kosovo. Kadri Veseli (born 31 May 1966) is a Kosovar politician, and was the chairman of the Assembly. He is the head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the largest political party in Kosovo’s Government of Kosovo. Veseli was among the leaders and founders of the Kosovo Liberation Army. He was also the chief officer of the Kosovo Intelligence Service, a post-war state-run intelligence organization.

In the aftermath of the 2017 Kosovan elections to the parliamentary seat, Veseli was re-elected as the Chairman of Kosovan’s Assembly on September 7, 2017.

In May of 2016, Veseli became President of PDK through applause. He was elected without votes against and there were no abstentions.

Veseli started his higher education studies in the year 1990 with the University of Pristina Faculty of Agriculture and the Higher Pedagogical School in Albanian Language and Literature Department. Because of political issues the student was required to finish the rest of his education in Albania. He holds an undergraduate degree from his university, the University of Kamez, Albania and with an MBA with a concentration in General Management from the Sheffield University – International Faculty in Thessaloniki, Greece and is currently working on his PhD thesis at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. Veseli is fluent in English, German, and Serbian languages. Together with his wife, Violeta Veseli, he’s the parents of four children.

In the Kosovo War he was appointed as the commander for the Counter Intelligence Service (G-2) of the KLA and remained in the post until the conclusion of the war, when it changed to Kosovo Intelligence Service or SHIK, an organisation for post-war intelligence in 2008 before announcing the dissolution of its organisation. The end of 2012, Kadri Veseli formally joined the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and on Jan 27, 2013,, he was elected deputy head of the party. Veseli was elected Chairman of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo on December 8, 2014. He will be the leader of the party following the departure of Hashim Thaci, who quit the position due to constitutional requirements to be able to assume the presidency of the Republic of Kosovo.

Veseli was one of the young leaders of the Kosovar students’ movement during the years 1988 – 1990, which engaged in the fight for human and political rights of Kosovo Albanians, including the right for independence.
