Justin Charles Medlock (born October 23rd in 1983) is an American professional footballer from Canadian football. He plays placekicker with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played for the college team of at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and was named consensus All-American. He was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs selected him in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Medlock has also been a part of The Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Toronto Argonauts and Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL and the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL).

On the 14th of August on the 14th of August, 2009 Medlock made seven field goal, which tied with Lance Chomyc’s Argonauts single-game record for the team and just a hair short of the record for league goals of eight goals shared with Dave Ridgway, Mark McLoughlin as well as Paul Osbaldiston.

On October 14, 2010, Medlock was signed by the Edmonton Eskimos.

With struggles by incumbent placekicker Grant Shaw, the Toronto Argonauts elected to re-sign Medlock through the 2011 CFL season. On October 12, 2010, Medlock was released by the Argonauts after the team traded for kicker Noel Prefontaine.

Medlock was a student at the University of California, Los Angeles in the United States, where he was a member of UCLA’s UCLA Bruins football team from 2003 until 2006. He recorded the UCLA record in his career, by scoring six field-goals that were fifty yards or more and was an all-time letterman for four years. In all, he made 70 field goals in 80 attempts and 147 of the extra points. As a senior in the year 2006 He was named an undisputed first-team All-American.

Medlock was selected during the 5th round of 2007’s NFL Draft with the Kansas City Chiefs with the 160th pick. Medlock was believed to start the season contesting with Lawrence Tynes for the kicking job, however, it was revealed that the Chiefs made a trade for Tynes with the New York Giants, thus creating Medlock the official starting. Medlock had a difficult time in the preseason, only kicking three of six kicks. the Chiefs let go of Medlock the 10th of September, 2007 after he scored a field goal that was 27 yards long and failed to make the 30-yard shot in the first game of the season with the Houston Texans, and signed Dave Rayner as a replacement.

Medlock signed with the Toronto Argonauts on April 16, 2009 and competed with fellow new import kicker Eddie Johnson for the kicking spot vacated by the retirement of Mike Vanderjagt. At the end of training camp, the Argos elected to keep both kickers and coach Bart Andrus elected to start Johnson for game one and placed Medlock on the practice roster. Johnson, however, was injured on the opening kickoff when he separated his shoulder when tackling the return man and Medlock was slated to kick for game two of the 2009 Toronto Argonauts season.
