Justin Kemp is one of the most popular and richest Cricketer who was born on October 2, 1977 in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Kemp is the third generation of cricketers who played first class cricket. His grandpa John Miles Kemp played a single game in the province of Border in 1947-48. Meanwhile, Kemp’s grandfather John Wesley Kemp made three appearances for the province in the years 1975-76 and 1976-77. His cousin is the former South African international David Callaghan.
He was later selected as a representative of Africa during the Afro-Asian Cup although he batted lower in the order and was struggling. The South African season of 2005/2006 Kemp proved he was an excellent match-winner when he scored 73 runs from 64 in Bloemfontein. Kemp then embarked on his first tour to India in which he proved his ability to bat on pitches with slower speeds. He was to his South African tour of Australia in which he made his first test match appearance. the pair of him together with Jacques Rudolph formed a partnership that helped a draw be saved to South Africa at Perth. He was not selected for the second test and was not picked for any Test since. He had a difficult time during the VB Series that involved Sri Lanka, Australia and South Africa with his average of 17.00. He was back to his best when Australia tour South Africa as he made 51 out of 41 balls during the match at Newlands Cape Town.
On 20 March 2008, the ECB banned Kemp and four other Kolpak players because of their involvement in the ICL. The decision was, however, overruled and Kemp was cleared to play for Kent, with whom he has a two-year deal. However, changes to the Kolpak regulations meant Kemp could not return to the county for 2010.
In 2008, Kemp joined the rebel Indian Cricket League, which was not recognised by any cricket board or the ICC, thereby ending his international career with South Africa. In the ICL, Kemp played for the Hyderabad Heroes team.
As of 2003 Kemp was a player at the age of 23 in England for Worcestershire having a high bowling score of 5/48 during the County Championship against Glamorgan in June. He also scored a record scores of 90 for Hampshire at the same event in September.

Justin Miles Kemp (born 2 October 1977) is a South African former international cricketer who played all forms in the sport with South Africa.
Kemp has made the International debut as an ODI player match against Sri Lanka on 14 January 2001. Kemp first made his test debut one week later and also with Sri Lanka. He was on an international tour with the West Indies in the 2000/2001 season, but did not run many runs, and was also involved in a controversy after he admitted to smoking marijuana along with six South African players. He was picked for eight additional One day matches, but the team was dissatisfied and he was dismissed. He was not part from the South African side for nearly three years before the time he was picked to take part during the series at home against England. In the series, Kemp impressed with his massive hitting. He smashed 80 runs off fifty balls during an innings that featured seven sixes. In the wake of his performances, Kemp was selected as a player for the series series with Zimbabwe and during the match at Durban the batsman hit 53 off 21 balls during an innings which included five sixes. Then he was taken to his return tour to the West Indies where he made an impressive score of 65 in Trinidad.
He was selected in South Africa’s squad for the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy in India where he showed he is more than just a big hitter when he made 64 from 110 balls in a partnership with Mark Boucher where he along with Mark Boucher set the record for the highest 6th wicket stand in ICC Champions Trophy(131) 26 November 2006, in the third ODI of the series between India and South Africa, his side were at 137 for 7 when Kemp came in and smashed his way to his maiden ODI century with the help of Andrew Hall. Together they put on a world record 8th wicket stand of 138 and took their score to 274, with Kemp named Man of the Match. He also showed that he is a useful medium pace bowler when he took three wickets at St George’s Park Port Elizabeth. He was selected in the 30 man provisional squad for the 2007 Cricket World Cup.
