He was disappointed that he did not be chosen for his country’s participation in the 2011 Summer Youth Olympics, but took home the gold medal with Jamaica in the 4×100 m relay during the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships. He concluded the year with a personal best of 10.49 seconds to complete the 100 m race and 21.04 seconds to complete the 200 meters. The Jamaican did not do well in 2011and was in the bottom five of the high school championships sprint events. In his final time as an athlete in junior, he achieved personal bests that included 10.19 seconds in the 100m race and 20.38 seconds in the 200 meters. In the 200-meter race, his national junior championship, and placed 6th in the Jamaican Athletics Championships, and was in eighth place in the 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics.
