Mercier was an integral part of the Argentinos Juniors team that won the Clausura 2010 championship. He was a part of 18 of the club’s 19 matches during the championship winning season. Mercier scored the first goal in Argentinos victory 2-1 over Huracan during the last game which won the title. On July 18, 2011, Mercier signed a two-year contract to The Saudi club.
