Jovanv is born in Skopje on the 27th of May, 1981. He began his musical education when he was just six years old. He plays the guitar, piano as well as the percussion instruments. At the age of 17, he began working with other musicians and then opened the studio of his own.

Since 2001, Jovanov created his own studio for recording “Jovanov Records”. Jovanov has worked with numerous famous musicians from the Balkan region, such as Tose Proeski Emina Jahovic Lambe Alabakovski Adrian Gaxha, Slatkaristika, Tony Zen, Elvir Mekic, Bojan Marovic, Slada Delibasic, Next Time, Vlatko Ilievski as well as Victoria Loba. He established the label of his own “Jovanov Records”. The company was involved in the promotion of emerging artists as well as their career development. He was the manager of Elvir Mekic, Slatkaristika, Tony Zen, and Next time.

Jovan Jovanov established Global Music Records, with initially named Jovanov Records in 2001. Global Music Records has been working with numerous famous artists from Europe like Slatkaristika, Adrian Gaxha, Elvir Mekic, Ivan Jovanov Iwayo, Simona Poposka, Victoria Loba etc.

Jovanov has been awarded three first prizes at MakFest, the Macedonian festival MakFest in the form of the compositions “Magija”, performed by the ensemble Magija (1998), “Ti me sakash” which was which was performed with Jovan Jovanov as well as Maja Sazdanovska (2005) and “Ne planiram”, performed by Lambe Alabakovski (2010). Jovanov also took home two second prizes at MakFest for his music compositions “300 godini”, performed by Adrian Gaxha (2005) and” Bez tebe tivko umiram” which was performed by Next Time (2008). In addition, he was the third prize winner for his songs “Da te vidam pak” that was that was performed by Jovan Jovanov (2003), “Se na svoe mesto” that was recorded by Zoran Stamenkovski (2006) and “Nekade posle 2” performed by Elvir Mekic (2007).

His songs have represented Macedonia on the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 and 2009, and on the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2007. He also arranged Vlatko Ilievski’s song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011.
