On November 19, 2018 Brezovec was a member of Croatian First Football League side Inter Zapresic.
In November of 2010 the news was that Brezovec signed terms in a deal with Dinamo Zagreb and will be removed from NK Varazdin in the mid-season for an undisclosed amount. Brezovec signed a four-and-a half-year contract. After playing just 9 games with Dinamo towards the end of the season, Brezovec signed to Slaven Belupo. Then, in June of 2012, Brezovec became hired as a player by HNK Rijeka. With ten assists on his name He was also the league’s top scorer in 2013-2012 season. Then, in September of 2014, Brezovec got assigned to SpeziaCalcio from the Italian Serie B. In January Brezovec returned to Rijeka in the Rijeka Football Club, where he was a player for the rest of the season of 2015-16. On the 2nd of July it was confirmed that Brezovec was purchased as a player by FC Sheriff Tiraspol for a cost of 250,000 euros.

Brezovac was born in Varazdin. The club he played for was NK Nedeljanec but as a 10 year old, he was a member of NK Varteks and played there until he quit the junior side during the winter of 2004-05.
As a youngster He was not able to get in the team of Varteks So he went back to his former club Nedeljanec. He then joined the Austrian Regionalliga (Club St. Michael). After a brief stint in Austria after which he returned to Croatia during the heat of summer 2006. The Croatian signed him to a deal with Croatian second division team NK Belisce.
On 23 June 2019, Brezovec joined Croatian Third Football League side NK Polet.
