From 1973 to 1979 , he attended from 1973 to 1979 at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague. As a student, was a participant in numerous architectural competitions. In 1975 the prize was his first at the Young Architects Competition. After his studies, he was employed as a teacher in this same academy (Department of Architectural Theory and Development). In the 1980s, he worked in the Krajsky projektovy Ustav in Prague and in the workshop G-16. In 1991, he briefly went back to instruct in the Czech Technical University. But, in the same year He co-founded his own studio called it was called the AP Atelier. The first breakthrough came in 1993 in which his AP Atelier was awarded the distinction of an honorable recognition at the Grand Prix competition of the Czech Chamber of Architects. Pleskot was awarded the first Grand Prix in 1995, for the renovation and the completion of the city hall at Benesov. In 1997, he was an official participant in the Manes Union of Fine Arts.

In his design, Pleskot was inspired by the Czech modern architecture. In the 1980s, he also investigated the possibilities of postmodern architectural neofunctionalism as well as postmodernism.
