He began his career as a geologist in 1986, and in 1991, the award was an Fulbright award to complete an Master in Paleontological Sciences (1992) at the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA, getting his degree in 1994. The year 2006 was the time he was awarded his PhD degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
He has devoted his whole life to the discovery digging, studying, and digging the field of Vertebrate Paleontology. He is the first paleontologist to live within his home province of Neuquen province. He is also the co-author and author of numerous discovery of his own on new taxa that have been discovered in dinosaurs birds, crocodiles and birds turtles, frogs, eggs and tracks of dinosaurs. It is his first time as a paleontologist who has been instrumental in the creation of not just the Paleontological Science of Norpatagonia (1987) as well as well as a part of the Paleontological Tourism. He was the founder of the Geology and Paleontology Museum of the National University of Comahue (1990) and The Paleontological Museum of Rincon de los Sauces (2000) and the Barreales Lake Paleontological Center (2002).
