He was then appointed Deltras Sidoarjo the head coach of Deltras Sidoarjo in September of the same year for the season 2011-12 Indonesia Super League season, however, he resigned in April 2012.
In November 2013, Steinebrunner were signed by PSM Makassar as their new head coach for the 2014 Indonesia Super League season.
Not winning a single game with PSM Makassar he resigned in February 2014 and replaced by Rudy Keltjes shortly thereafter.
Sengkang Punggol was his next destination for the 2009 season but his contract was sacked at the midpoint of the season because of poor performances of his team.

After he retired from the game at the age of 23 in 2003 Steinebrunner shifts into coaching and was appointed Woodlands Wellington head coach in the year. He left at the conclusion in the season of 2008 following a management change at the club. During his time at the club they were crowned champions of in 2007 the Singapore League Cup and were the finalist in the 2008 Singapore Cup losing finalists.
Established the Cosmos United Football Academy (UFA) in the year 2005 to improve children’s psychomotor abilities and improve their soccer skills.
In early 2011, he was appointed as the head coach of Medan Chiefs in the Liga Primer Indonesia, the alternate top division of Indonesia. He coaches Medan Chiefs in what was to be the only season of the club (and the league).
