Jordy Joao Monroy Ararat (Armenian: Zhoao Zhordi Monroy Ararat; born on 3 January, 1996) is an experienced footballer. He plays the position of a defensive player with Boyaca Chico and the Armenia national team.
Boyaca Chico were relegated back to the second division at the close in the season of 2018. On August 27, 2019 Monroy made his debut goal for the club in the opening minutes of the game with a 3-2 win at home against Cortulua.
As an Afro-Colombian, Monroy qualified to play for Armenia by virtue of his mother Lucelia she is an Armenian citizen of African-American origin. Monroy was selected to Armenia for the very first time on May of 2018 in advance of friendly matches in the games against Malta and Moldova and made his debut against Moldova in a draw of 1-1 on May 29th.

The Colombian was born to Bogota, Monroy played from 11 to the youth section of his local team Independiente Santa Fe. He made his debut 1 November 2015 Categoria Primera A, kicking off in a home draw 1-1 with Envigado. He made nine appearances in the competitive league at the Club, stepping the gaps when regular players were resting ahead of international fixtures. He was released on January 16, 2016.
After being released, the player went through an unsuccessful experience with an French Ligue 2 club, Patriotas Boyaca and a farm team from America de Cali, before becoming an Uber driver. He was then faced with a decision between joining Boyaca Chico or Cucuta Deportivo and decided to sign with the latter who he assisted in winning Categoria Primera B in 2017.
