While at Alabama’s University of Alabama, she played in to lead the Crimson Tide to the 1998 and 1999 NCAA Tournaments as well as the 2001 and 2000 Ladies National Invitational Tournaments. It was her second year as a player and put up 716 points. She also collected 555 rebounds, and prevented 103 shot attempts which made her the No. 4 among the school’s overall career leading players. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in education at Alabama in 2002.

Taylor has served as an assistant coach for LSU (2010-11) as well as an assistant head coach in Alabama (2008-10) Taylor was an assistant and assistant head coach for Louisiana Tech (2005-08), as well as an assistant coach for Troy (2002-05). Taylor was on in the University of Georgia staff in 2011 and spent a year working as an assistant coach before moving to assistant head coach. In April 2015 Coach Landers announced his retirement and endorsed Taylor to take over his place. Taylor was only the second full-time head coach in the program’s history.
