After being undrafted during the 2009 NFL Draft, Saint-Dic was accepted as a free-agent with the Kansas City Chiefs on July 31. The team cut him in the latter part of August, 2008.

In 2005 Saint-Dic received medical redshirting after missing the final seven matches of the season 2005 due to an injury to the groin. Saint-Dic made his first appearance during the 2005 year at the Big Ten opener vs. Illinois. In his Junior year Saint-Dic made 23, of which 3.5 out of them in the loss column. As a senior, Saint-Dic re-emerged among the best defensive linemen on the Big Ten. He was selected as the second team All-American from the Walter Camp Football Foundation. He was also one of eight finalists to win the Ted Hendricks Award. In 2007 Jonal was named a first-team All-Big Ten pick by media, and an All-Big Ten second-team selection by coaches. He recorded the Big Ten record with eight forced fumbles. Saint-Dic recorded 10 career forced fumbles. That tied with the seventh-best record on record in FBS history. The team named him Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week following the Spartans’ match against Pittsburgh. Saint-Dic was among five MSU players suspended prior to the Champs Sports Bowl against Boston College in which the Spartans fell. He was suspended for the reason that his academic status was not allowing him to participate.
