John Gesek is one of the most popular and richest American Football Player who was born on February 18, 1963 in San Francisco, California, United States. John Christian Gesek Jr. (born on the 18th of February 1963) is an ex- American offensive football lineman who played in the National Football League for the Los Angeles Raiders, Dallas Cowboys as well as the Washington Redskins. He played in the NCAA football tournament in the state of California at Sacramento State University and was selected in the tenth round in the 1987 NFL Draft. He is most well-known for his part in taking two Super Bowls for his team the Dallas Cowboys as a starting offensive lineman.

The year 1991 was the first time he began his first 14 games as a right guard, until he suffered an ankle injury in the left side during a game against the New Orleans Saints. The following game, when he played in the game against Philadelphia Eagles Philadelphia Eagles, he was limited to just short yardage circumstances, but he was able to return for the remainder of the season, and even the playoffs. The offensive line assisted Emmit Smith to lead the league with 365 carries and 1,563 yards of rushing.

In 1993, he was beaten out by Kevin Gogan and remained in a reserve role, until Mark Stepnoski suffered a knee injury against the Minnesota Vikings in the 13th game of the season. After trying Frank Cornish as the replacement at center, the team settled on Gesek for the playoffs run and Super Bowl XXVIII.

On March 16, 1994, he was signed as a free agent with the Washington Redskins, reuniting with head coach Norv Turner, who was his offensive coordinator with the Cowboys. Although he had played most of his career at guard, the Washington Redskins signed him as a free agent to play center and allow the move of Raleigh McKenzie to right guard.

In 1989 Gesek was the all-time left guard’s primary player. Following the Raiders hired Max Montoya in Plan B free agency, Gesek became expendable and was transferred for the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for the fifth round draft pick (#124-Ben Coates) on September 3 September, 1990.
