In April 2011, following Roberto Cereceda’s deportation from the club prior to the Clausura Tournament left an opening in the left-hand band of Colo-Colo because players who were in the position such as Patricio Jerez or Alvaro Ormeno did not have the speed of their game even though they were both older.
