Joe-Max Moore (born on 23rd February 1971) is an American former soccer forward. He was a professional player for teams from Germany, England and the United States. Moore’s final season was as a member of the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer. Alongside his professional career at the club, Moore earned 100 caps with 24 goals as part of the U.S. national team between 1992 until 2002. In those years Moore was a part of U.S. teams at the 1992 Summer Olympics as well as the 1998, 1994 as well as 2002 FIFA World Cups.

Then, in July of 1994 USSF granted a loan to Moore for a loan to German second Division Club 1. FC Saarbrucken. In the year 1994, Moore played for the U.S. team at the 1994 FIFA World Cup, but was not a part of any of the matches. In the absence of any national team matches after the World Cup, USSF decided to transfer several players abroad. Saarbrucken was eventually able to purchase Moore’s contract with USSF at a price of $250,000. In Moore’s only season with Saarbrucken the club, he played in 25 games and led the team in scoring with thirteen goals. In the final game of his season Saarbrucken moved Moore to their fellow Second Division club 1. FC Nurnberg. He was once again the team’s leader with 8 goals.

Moore had an exceptional four-year tour with the Revolution. Aside from an injury marred 1997 season, in which he only played 11 games, scoring four goals, he consistently produced for the club. During these years, he became the club’s all-time leading scorer and made the 1999 MLS All Star team. His success with the Revs led him to pursue a return to Europe, this time with Everton in the English Premiership.

In November 1999, Moore went to Everton, in the English Premiership, after he impressed the Everton staff during a seven-day October tryout. At the time, Moore did not have permission from MLS to work out with any team but the Revolution. Despite this, MLS placed no barriers in the way of Moore’s free transfer. The contract with Everton, good for three and a half years, would pay Moore approximately $600,000 per season.

Following the 1992 college season concluded, Moore signed with the U.S. national team. In 1988 in 1988, in 1988, the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) had begun signing the best U.S. players to contracts and made that the U.S. national team a official professional club. USSF could then loan U.S. players to club teamand recall players for games with the national team. Moore decided to not go back to UCLA to finish his senior year, and he became a member of the USSF as an all-time player for the national team.

MLS allocated Giuseppe Galderisi to the New England Revolution. However, he showed up injured and played poorly through his first four games, so MLS replaced him with Moore on the Revolution roster on July 24, 1996.
