James Adam Stevenson (born 17 May 1992) is an English semi- professional footballer who plays in the midfield at Southern League Premier Division Central club Peterborough Sports.
Stevenson was signed by Aldershot permanently under an one-year deal on the 10th of June 2015. Stevenson made his debut following his permanent signing on the first day of the 2015-16 season in the 2-1 loss at home against Gateshead. Stevenson’s debut goal for the campaign came in the second goal of an away win of 4-0 against Guiseley on the 22nd of August. Stevenson finished the campaign with six goals across 49 games, but was let go by the club on the day after the selection to replace Gary Waddock as the new Aldershot manager.
Stevenson signed for National League club Dover Athletic on 28 May 2016. He debuted on the opening day of 2016–17 in a 0–0 draw away to Wrexham and scored his first goal in a 4–2 victory away to Eastleigh on 16 August. Stevenson joined fellow National League club Southport on 17 February 2017 on a one- month loan. He debuted a day later in a 0–0 draw away to Woking and scored his first goal on 11 March in a 2–1 defeat at home to Torquay United. Stevenson’s loan at Southport was extended on 18 March until the end of the season. He was recalled by Dover on 18 April, having scored once in 11 appearances for Southport. Stevenson was released by the club in May 2017.
On 28 June 2017, Stevenson signed for National League South club Chelmsford City. In January 2018, Chelmsford manager Rod Stringer confirmed Stevenson had left the club.
On the 20th of May, 2013 Conference Premier club Luton Town announced they would sign Stevenson for a two-year deal after the expiration date of his deal with Histon on the 1st of July. Stevenson made his debut on the 7th of September with a draw of 0-0 at home against Grimsby Town, having entered the game as a second-half substitute. Stevenson was unable to establish himself in the first team , and was loaned out to fellow Conference Premier club Dartford on the 28th of November to 4 January 2014. He was instantly given an initial place in the team and made his debut the following day in a match against Forest Green Rovers in an FA Trophy first round tie that ended as an 1-1 draw. Stevenson’s Dartford loan was extended on the 8th of January 2014, until the 1st of February. Stevenson scored his first goal for Dartford just two days later, scoring the opening goal in an 1-1 draw at home to Welling United, a result which ended a streak of 10 league defeats in a row. The loan he received from Dartford was extended on the 30th of January to the end of 2013-14. Stevenson finished his loan with one goal in 25 appearances. Dartford placed at 22nd place in the Conference Premier, but were saved from relegation following the fact that Both Hereford United and Salisbury City were dropped as a consequence of financial issues.

The birthplace of Stevenson is Luton, Bedfordshire, Stevenson began his professional career in the youth program at Histon and joined Histon in the age group of fifteen. Stevenson began his career for Histon in July 2010 and made his debut team debut at 18, in the 2-0 loss at home to AFC Wimbledon on 17 August 2010. He was substituted for Callum Stewart as a 77th-minute substitute. Stevenson scored his debut goal in a defeat of 2-1 at home against York City on January 15th 2011. He then went on scoring his second in the 3-1 defeat at home against Mansfield Town on 22 March. Stevenson remained in a first-team position throughout the 2010-11 season, and finished the year with two goals from his 31 appearances, but was not able to assist Histon keep from being relegated to his former club in the Conference North.
Stevenson participated in every league match during the 2011-12 season, and made his debut appearance in the league’s first match, an 2-2 draw at home against Blyth Spartans on the opening day of the season. The debut goal for the season was the third goal of a 3-0 home win against Solihull Moors on 6 December 2011. Stevenson completed his season scoring three times across 45 games. Stevenson finished the 2012-13 season as Histon’s top scorer with 11 goals in 45 games and was involved in every except one league game.
Stevenson made his Football League debut after being introduced as a 79th- minute substitute away to Carlisle United on the opening day of 2014–15, which finished as a 1–0 victory. He went on to score his first Football League goal in a 2–1 win away to Hartlepool United. Stevenson joined Conference Premier club Aldershot Town on 19 January 2015 on a one-month loan until 21 February. He debuted a day later in a 1–0 defeat at home to Kidderminster Harriers and scored his first goal with the opener in a 2–1 win at home to Welling United on 14 February to help Aldershot end a run of five consecutive defeats. Stevenson’s loan at Aldershot was extended until the end of the season on 27 February, having scored one goal from four appearances during his initial spell with the club. He went on to score two goals at home to Dover Athletic on 3 March in a 3–1 victory, and completed the loan spell with three goals from 14 appearances. Upon his return to Luton, the club announced that he would be released following the expiration of his contract.
