Jiang Kun is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on August 2, 1978 in Wuhan, People's Republic of China. Jiang Kun (Chinese: Jiang Kun ; pinyin: Jiang Kun ; born 2 August 1978 in Wuhan, Hubei) is a Chinese professional footballer. He was also capped 4 times in China.

Jiang was invited to Jiang was selected to Chinese National team’s senior squad, where the first time he played was on the 7th June 2006, in a friendly match against France which was a 3-1 loss making his debut as an in-between substitute in place of Zhao Junzhe. As he was preparing to play in the 2007 AFC Asian Cup he would take part in several more friendly matches but Chinese Head Coach Zhu Guanghu decided that his performances were not sufficient to make it into the squad for the event.

On 5 February 2016, Jiang transferred to China League One club Qingdao Huanghai.

In the league season of 2005, he joined newly promoted second tier team Shanghai Jiucheng and would make his debut as a player in a league match in March 4th, 2005, against Nanjing Yoyo in a 1-1 draw. Then he scored scoring his debut goal with the team with Yanbian FC in a league match that was played on the 19th of March,, which Shanghai Jiucheng won 2-0. In the final stages of the season, Jiang was established as an integral part of the team, taking part in 22 games, scoring six goals. On the other side of the field, the owner of the club Zhu Jun acquired top tier club Shanghai United F.C. and was hoping to combine the teams, but it was not feasible due to transfer regulations for Chinese football. Instead, Jiang as well as the other four players were signed to Shanghai United F.C. While Shanghai Jiucheng was sold off to an owner who was a new one.

Jiang Kun started his professional football career in 1997 for the Bayi Football Team (who were named on August 1st, Zhenbang when he joined the team) after having graduated from their youth squad. Jiang Kun would slowly establish his place as an established player player within the team and assist them to get promoted to the top of the line during their 2000 season of league. The end of this 2003 football season Bayi Football Team disbanded and Jiang Kun was free to transfer to any club.

Jiang Kun would decide to join another top-tier club Sichuan Guancheng at the beginning of the 2004 Chinese Super League season. He would enjoy a successful beginning into his Sichuan career as he was quickly named as a regular first choice and even scored his first goal in the third league match in the third league game against Shanghai Shenhua on May 26 on, 2004, with a draw of 1-1. However, the results weren’t kind to Sichuan and he was becoming more and more absent from the team . By the time the season was over, Sichuan would be playing only the league for ten games.

In the 2007 season Shanghai United F.C. was dissolved to allow them to join neighbouring Super League team Shanghai Shenhua, allowing both teams to merge. All the players from Shanghai United F.C. would move to Shanghai Shenhua and despite the inflamed squad Jiang Kun was one of the few consistent first choice players within the team. This continued the following season, however despite the significantly reduced squad by the beginning of the 2009 league season he was loaned out to Henan Construction. He played 27 league games and scored 1 goal in Season 2009.
