Jeremy Summerly (born 28 February 1961) is a British conductor from Britain. He attended Lichfield Cathedral (where he was an chorister) and in Winchester College and at New College, Oxford (where he was an Choral Scholar). When he was at Oxford he directed in the New College Chamber Orchestra and the Oxford Chamber Choir. After receiving a first-class Honours Degree in Music at the age of 22, he began working as a Studio Director at BBC Radio, while pursuing postgraduate studies in King’s College London. He was the founder of Oxford Camerata in 1984. Oxford Camerata in 1984. In 1989, he was made a Lecturer in the Royal Academy of Music, in which he was the Director of Academic Studies from 1996 until 2007 and later the Senior Academic Studies Lecturer. He also served as the conductor for the Schola Cantorum of Oxford from 1990 until 1996. He is currently co-artistic director of the Oxford period musical and vocal group, the Oxford Baroque.
In 2017, he was named an honorary Fellow from the Royal School of Church Music. He has conducted on more than 50 recordings for commercial use.

In 2010, Jeremy was named Director of Music at St Luke’s Church, Chelsea. In addition to regular weekly service and rehearsal, St Luke’s Choir performs services three times per year, including The All Saints’ Church of Fulham as well as St Martin-in-the Fields. They also tour UK cathedrals twice per year. Jeremy also established an annually held St Luke’s Christmas Carol Competition.
He directed the Choir of The Queen’s College, Oxford during the sabbatical period of organist Dr. Owen Rees, for the 2013-14 academic year. In February of 2015, it became known that the organist was to assume the role of Director of Music for Saint. Peter’s College in Oxford starting at the start of the academic year 2015-16. The position he was in was vacated in March of 2019. Edward Higginbottom, former Director of Music at New College, Oxford, was appointed to fill in as the temporary successor to replace him for the academic year 2019/20 until the selection of a permanent successor.
