In 2006, during his sophomore season, Quin received an Honorable Mention on the All Mountain West Conference (MWC), team as a sophomore. During the season, Quin started 13 games for the Lobos. Quin led the MWC with 12 pass break-ups and was second in the league, behind his teammate DeAndre Wright in passes defended with 12. He played college football at New Mexico and Southwest Mississippi Community College, and was drafted by the Houston Texans in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He was also a member of the Detroit Lions for six seasons after spending his first four in Houston.
