She spent her childhood in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, and graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She has one brother, Alexander Richard Eisenhower (b. 1980), and one sister, Melanie Catherine Eisenhower (b. 1984).
