Jason Goodall (born 23 January 1967) is a world-renowned sports broadcaster, specializing with tennis commentaries and analyses. At the age of 21, He retired because of an elbow injury that was chronic and then he began coaching (occasionally playing on tour to in the year 1991 Wimbledon Championships), working initially with 21-time Grand Slam doubles champion Pam Shriver. In the course of her coaching she reached an appearance in the semi-finals of doubles at the US Open doubles in 1989 along with Mary Joe Fernandez, only to fall in the final to Martina Navratilova and Hana Mandlikova 7-5, 6-4 6-1, 6-4 and 6-4. He later worked with the former World number 4 Fernandez and was her coach when she reached the doubles and singles finals during the Australian Open in 1990. Fernandez was defeated 6-3 and 6-4 in the singles by Steffi Graf in singles. She also teamed together along with American Patty Fendick in doubles she was beaten 7-6, 7-6 by the top seeded Jana Novotna and Helena Sukova in the final.
In 2000 Goodall started to pursue off-court work and began television commentary, writing and producing at various tennis events around the world. He has had articles published in various newspapers including The Times and the Wall Street Journal and currently commentates (often as part of a commentating duo alongside Robbie Koenig) for various broadcasters including the BBC, Eurosport International, the Tennis Channel and Al Jazeera in addition to work for both the ATP and WTA Tours at various events throughout the tennis season.
In 2014, Goodall, alongside Robbie Koenig, joined the International Premier Tennis League to provide commentary for the annual team tennis league which takes place in various cities in Asia throughout December.
Goodall was listed as high as British number 2 in senior, and was also the the national senior doubles champion. He was picked to join the British team for two Davis Cup ties in 1989 at home against Finland in which Britain beat 4-1, as well at home, against Argentina in which the hosts were defeated 3-1.

At the age of 18 Goodall was granted the wild card to the 1985 Wimbledon Championships where he met seventh seed Joakim Nystrom in the opening round. He lost to Nystrom by the Swede by four sets. His only appearance on the draw for singles during Wimbledon occurred in 1988 which he lost by straight-sets to Italian qualified Diego Nargiso. He played in the Wimbledon doubles men’s championships each between 1986 and 1990.
