Harrison was selected in The New York Jets in the fifth round (152nd overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. Harrison signed a four-year $2.5 million agreement on May 6 in 2015. He was released on the 7th of November in 2015, and then re- signed with the Jets and was placed on their practice team in November. On August 28, 2016, Harrison was waived by the Jets.

Harrison signed unto the practice roster of the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in September 2017. On February 22, 2018 Harrison was re-signed by the Riders.

The native of Navasota, Texas, Harrison was a student at Navasota High School, where only two seasons played soccer for the Rattlers and played alongside offensive lineman Aleon Calhoun. As a junior, Harrison helped Navasota to the record of 10-1 with an invitation to the Division I of the UIL Region III-3A final, in which the Rattlers lost by 28-34 at overtime, losing to La Vega.

After being redshirted during his first season during his time at Texas A&M, Harrison served as the best second linebacker on the offensive side to the Aggies. Harrison played in 11 games during the 2011 season. On January 5, 2017, Harrison signed a reserve/future contract with the Buccaneers. He was waived on September 2, 2017.
