Jared Lorenzen is one of the most popular and richest American Football Player who was born on February 14, 1981 in Covington, Kentucky, United States. Jared Raymond Lorenzen, February 14, 1981 – July 3, 2019, was an American football administrator and quarterback. After a successful college football career, Lorenzen played four seasons in the National Football League (NFL), with the New York Giants. Lorenzen, a 285 lb (12.9 kg) quarterback, was the most obese to ever play in the NFL. Hefty Lefty was his nickname because of his weight, and the fact that he was left-handed.

Lorenzen was instrumental in the team’s victory against the Baltimore Ravens during the 2006 preseason. After that performance, and an impressive training camp, Lorenzen was named officially the Giants’ backup quarterback.

Lorenzen made his second appearance on Sunday, January 7, 2007, in the Giants’ wild card loss against the Philadelphia Eagles. On the Giants’ opening drive, he lined up at quarterback on a third-and-one and got the first down, “shifting the pile” in the process, on the way to a Giants touchdown.

On July 24, 2008, Lorenzen was signed by the Indianapolis Colts. He played during the preseason, but was waived during the final cuts for the 53-man roster.

Lorenzen was the Giants’ first player to make an appearance on the field on December 30, 2006. Lorenzen was first seen on the field in a Giants uniform on December 30, 2006.

This earned him the Mr. Football Award. Lorenzen made his commitment to the University of Kentucky five games into his senior year.

Lorenzen was not selected for the 2004 NFL Draft. Instead, he signed as an undrafted free agent with New York Giants. Coach Tom Coughlin offered Lorenzen a chance to play in NFL Europe 2005. Lorenzen was the Giants’ third-string quarterback in 2004 and 2005, after starter Eli Manning (backup) and Tim Hasselbeck.

Lorenzen’s first significant regular season appearance occurred on September 9, 2007, when he took over for the injured Manning in the fourth quarter of the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys. Lorenzen made both his first regular season pass and rush, but failed to earn a first down. He played again the following week, against the Green Bay Packers, completing three passes from five attempts, for a total gain of 21 yards. This proved to be his final appearance in the NFL, as Manning’s injury did not cost him any further playing time and Lorenzen did not see further action in the 2007 season. He continued to serve as Manning’s backup for the remainder of the season, which concluded with the Giants winning Super Bowl XLII against the then-undefeated New England Patriots and Lorenzen earning a championship ring.
