Jared Lee Loughner is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on September 10, 1988 in Tucson, United States. Jared Lee Loughner (/’ l a f n / ; September 10, 1988) was a convicted American mass killer who pleaded guilty to 19 murder and attempted murder charges in connection with the Tucson shooting of January 8, 2011. He shot and seriously injured Gabby Giffords and also killed six others, including Chief U.S. Court Judge John Roll, Gabe Zimmerman and Christina-Taylor Green, a Giffords staff member. Loughner injured and shot 13 people, including one victim who was subdued by him.

Caitie Parker, a former classmate, remembers Loughner being a “pothead”. Loughner is a drug user with a history. He was arrested in September 2007 for possessing marijuana and paraphernalia. Parker said that he hadn’t seen Loughner in person since 2007. “I look back on this [as] a 14-19-year-old…who knows if we knew what for certain?”

According to court records, Loughner had two previous offenses: in October 2007, he was cited in Pima County for possession of drug paraphernalia and on October 13, 2008, he was charged after defacing a street sign in Marana, near Tucson (a charge that was dismissed following the completion of a diversion program in March 2009). The police report noted that he drew a stylized CX, which Loughner said were Christian symbols.

Loughner allegedly purchased the 9mm Glock pistol used in the shooting from a Sportsman’s Warehouse in Tucson on November 30, 2010. The night before the shooting, at 2:05 a.m. he left a message on a friend’s voicemail saying, “Hey man, it’s Jared. Me and you had good times. Peace out. Later.” In a MySpace post the morning of the shooting at 4:12 am, he wrote, “Goodbye friends. Please don’t be mad at me. The literacy rate is below 5%. I haven’t talked to one person who is literate. I want to make it out alive. The longest war in the history of the United States. Goodbye. I’m saddened with the current currency and job employment. I had a bully at school. Thank you. P.S. –plead the fifth!”

Bryce Tierney, a friend of Loughner, said that Loughner had long disliked Gabrielle Giffords. Tierney said that Loughner often stated that women shouldn’t hold power positions. Giffords was repeatedly called a “fake” by Tierney. After attending her August 25, 2007, event, he believed that Giffords was a “fake”. Loughner kept Giffords’ form letter thanking him for attending the 2007 event in the same box with an envelope containing phrases such as “die bitch”, “assassination plan have been made” and “die bitch”. A friend of Loughner, Zane Gutierrez, said that Loughner would get angry at President George W. Bush or discussing the “nefarious plans of government” he believed to be his.
