It includes a transsexual, homosexual, hookers, transvestites and female impersonators. Janis’ early films were a great way to start her career as a filmmaker and documentarian, focusing on feminist and feminine themes.

Calling the Shots (1988), also known as Women in Cinema, is a documentary that sees Cole and Dale interviewing and recording women who work within the feature film business, reflecting on their time and trials over their careers.
