He made several appearances in a comedy series in Austria called Tohuwabohu between 1990 and 1998.
In 2009 Edwards opened in Granollers, Barcelona, the “Nouveau Clown Institute” (NCI), a training center specializing in the world of clowning. Although the NCI has received no government or private funding, it has survived independently.
He also recorded four audio albums, Live at the Melkweg [Milky Way Records] LP 1978, Clown Power (Ariola/Polydor 1980], Live in Europe (Polydor 1980), Holey Moley (1971), Silenz CD 1991), and Jango Edwards (written English with a German cover) and I Laugh With You (Rostrum Haarlem 1984). Each Clown Power album came in a limited edition, 3000 copies.

Edwards was born in Detroit where his family had a successful landscaping company. He became interested in philosophy, religion, radical politics, and the esoteric sciences during the 1960s. After three trips to Europe, his possessions in America were abandoned and he set out to travel to Europe to learn the art and craft of clowning. He was a London busker and started traveling comedy clubs.
He was one of the main organizers and performers of the “International Festival of Fools”, a city-wide festival of alternative comedy in Amsterdam, which began in 1975. Edwards built a following in the Netherlands, and he was able to attract enthusiastic audiences for his shows there for many years. He also gained a following in Germany. Edwards spent most of his time in France from the 1980s where his performance style was well-received. He performed regularly at the Pigalle theatre in Paris for a while. He has recently been based in Barcelona.
In 2004, he released a DVD compilation of live performances: Jango Edwards: The Best of Jango.
