Jan Fjetland, a former Norwegian footballer who was born 12 August 1962, is a forward. With the exception of 1989, when he was playing for Viking and winning the Norwegian Cup, he spent the majority of his career with Vidar. He is Egil Fjetland’s twin brother.

Fjetland, his twin brother Egil Fjetland, moved to Viking in 1989. Egil was a Viking player for four seasons. Jan, however, stayed with the club only for one season. He played in eight matches, scoring one goal in league play and two goals in cup matches. Fjetland was known as “Postmannen” because he worked as a postal worker and played football.

Fjetland said before joining Viking that he joined Viking to win the Norwegian Cup final. He also stated that Viking was his favorite performance in the rematch from the 1989 Norwegian Cup final. Fjetland scored the goal that beat Molde 2-1. He was also the Viking’s top player, along with Alf Kare Tveit. Fjetland was the last player to play alongside his brother, Molde. It took 22 years for another pair of brothers, Valon and Veton Berisha, to start a match for Viking.
