J'Kyun is one of the most popular and richest Master Of Ceremonies who was born on January 11, 1985 in South Korea. Kim Jeong-tae (Hangul: gimjeongtae; born on 11 January 1985) is better known under”J’Kyun” as a mononym (Hangul: jeikyeon), is a South Korean rapper and singer.
In 2011, following the news that J’Kyun had split with Romantic City and Fresh Boyz and Fresh Boyz, He was signed to Brand New Music where he started preparing the album. However, he then left Brand New Music in 2012 and relocated towards Romantic Factory (a subordinate of Romantic City). There, he hosted an online radio showcalled “Ladies Radio”, through his Facebook page. He made use of the platform to release songs he personally developed specifically, “Fantastic Soonkyu” and “Twinkle Soonkyu” which expressed his love for Sunny who was part of the Girls Generation.
In 2013, he participated in Mnet’s Show Me the Money 2 as a contestant, starting as a “Meta Crew” member, but later joining the “D.O. Crew” before finally being eliminated in the later stages.
In 2014, J’Kyun joined YMC Entertainment where he, Jessi and J-Yo formed Lucky J. The group released two singles and featured in an official drama soundtrack before disbanding in August 2016.
In the beginning of 2010, J’Kyun revealed that he was signed to BigDeal Records, where he was able to release his debut recording album Re Birthday in May of the same year. The album contains a few songs such as “Mom” and “Back Then” were the result of his mother’s influence who had passed away. The song “I Go” became known in a controversial manner, with negative lyrics about big corporations like YG Entertainment, SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment. In October J’Kyun declared that he had made the decision to quit Bigdeal Records, and that the band was part of an album project with singer Kuan who is currently working on an EP that is underground. The project began in November of 2010 with the name Louis.B as well as released 2 singles digitally.

Kim first joined hip-hop in 2003 as Jung Kyun. After being kicked from Dongguk University he joined a hip-hop group called Diamond Tribe with members: JuNi, Freestarr, LEGO, and Marco and Lugar of Mo’Real and Mo’Real, who regularly performed in the Club Belly in Apgujeong-dong. The group began to work on its debut record in summer of 2003. He recorded it with his producers Marco and Lee-ryung. The play that was extended, Just Clap, was finally released in November of 2005.
Since 2008 Kim was officially turned his stage name into J’Kyun following the fact that his Diss track starring San E went viral. His work began to receive more attention after Kim joined the group, Romantic City and produced lyrics under the name Rocy. He resigned from the group in the latter part of 2010, just prior to the release of his new album. Soon after, he joined part of an ensemble under the name of Fresh Boyz, composed of members: Ceejay, Nolbu, Kwon Sa-jang, and himself however, he resigned from the group around mid-2011 due to personal reasons.
In April 2012, J’Kyun released his second extended play These Days including the single “Hot MC” featuring Zico of Block B, the EP peaked at number 70 on the Gaon Chart. In May he was selected as the Korean representative of the global music jacket, “Music Matters” in Singapore.
