Ibrahim Ali (Jawi: brhym bn ly, born on January 25, 1951) is a extremist Malaysian politician and former member of the parliament in Pasir Mas, Kelantan. Ibrahim was the founder of Parti Bumiputera Perkasa Malaysia (PUTRA) in the year 2018 and is its founder president. In addition, he is founding and president of the Malay dominance group Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa (Perkasa).
Following the elections of 2008, Ibrahim founded Perkasa as an Malay supremacy-based non-governmental organisation (NGO) that has taken a strong stance against what they believe as violations of Malay rights. Perkasa opposes the removal from the 70% ownership quotas for Bumiputera citizens in the allocation of government projects. The group claims that ethnic Chinese are dominating in the Malaysian business, Ibrahim said that the Chinese shouldn’t be extravagant and sympathize with the Malay population that was lagging in some areas.
In May 2011, following the controversy over an alleged plot by Christians in Malaysia to supplant Islam as the official religion in Malaysia which was reported by Utusan Malaysia, Ibrahim threatened to wage “Nerf war” against Christians.
In April 2011, he made perceived sexist remarks in Parliament, blaming “wives who neglect their responsibilities” for Malaysian men having extramarital sex.
At a parliamentary session in 2008 during a 2008 parliamentary session, he ridiculed Democratic Action Party (DAP) chairman and Bukit Gelugor MP Karpal Singh, for not standing while speaking. The DAP chairman was slammed by political opponents because Karpal is disabled . He was obliged to issue an apology, in which was a promise not to be in the Parliament for a month.

Ibrahim became the first member of Parliament during the general election in 1986 in the Pasir Mas seat in Kelantan as a member of his party, the United Malay National Organisation (UMNO) of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He later quit the BN party with a number of others. He joined the breakaway UMNO organization Semangat 46 and successfully defended the seat during the general election of 1990. Then, in 1991, he returned to UMNO but was unable to win his seat to Semangat 46. Semangat 46 candidate in the general election of 1995. He was the UMNO Candidate for Pasir Mas seat in the 1999 general election as well as an independent candidate for the 2004 general election. The UMNO candidate was not able to secure the seat in both elections. Ibrahim was also an independent candidate during the 2005 Pengkalan Pasir by-election but lost in the three-cornered battle. In the general election in 2008 Ibrahim was able to win his Pasir Mas seat, despite the ticket with the endorsement from PAS. Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS). Then, Ibrahim subsequently fell out with PAS and decided to sit as an independent in the parliament and declared his willingness to join an BN government. He was again unable to hold his seat in parliament as an independent candidate to the newcomer Nik Muhammad Abduh Nik Aziz of PAS despite BN’s decision not nominate a candidate to the seat in the general election of 2013. In the general election in 2018 He ran for re-election as an independent but lost.
Ibrahim Ali was conferred Datukship title in 2003 by the then Kelantan the ruler Sultan Ismail Petra but it was removed from Kelantan palace Kelantan palace in the year 2010 and no explanation given to justify the denial. He also received Datukships in Malacca in 1994, and Selangor in 1999.
In June 2011, he allegedly warned the community not to turn up in support of the 2011 Bersih 2.0 rally, saying that if chaos erupts, “I believe the Chinese community will have to stock up on food.” The remark was perceived as racially charged, with UMNO Youth leader Khairy Jamaluddin calling Ibrahim a racist. Ibrahim later claimed he was merely giving an advice, but being misunderstood as giving a threat to the ethnic Chinese community. Despite promising earlier to bring 15 thousand Perkasa supporters to counter the Bersih rally, he was nowhere to be seen on the day. He later claimed that he was unwell and did not get his wife’s permission to attend the counter rally.

On 6 October 2013 Ibrahim Ali has warned of another race riot if the majority of the Foreign Labour remained in poverty, praising Najib Razak of making the right decision by implementing the new RM31bil BEEP intended to increase the economic status of the Malays. He said that the 13 May riots occurred because the Malays were not satisfied. Many critics say that the programme has further entrenched race-based policies and inhibit Malaysia’s economic competitiveness which then results in a huge brain drain of many non-Malays.
