In June of 2015 the club made it clear that it would not be continuing as the head coach of the first team, but his ongoing involvement in the club was welcomed. He waved goodbye to the fans thanks for their confidence and support that he received during his time with the club.
Then, in July of 2015 Navarro agreed to a 3-year contract in conjunction with ICL Manresa. In June of 2017, Navarro part ways with ICL Manresa after the relegation to LEB Oro and signed an one-year contract in conjunction with UCAM Murcia. In Murcia, Navarro reached the Champions League Final Four in the first appearance of the club. They lost in the semifinals to AEK Athens during the semis and claiming third place in the match against MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg.

Ibon Navarro was an assistant trainer in lower classes from Saski Baskonia from 2000 to 2005. His first time playing professional basketball was as an assistant trainer of Rafa Sanz of Tenerife Rural. A year later, Navarro debuted in Spanish League in the 2007-08 season as an assistant coach for Neven Spahija. He was there until the year 2010. After leaving Vitoria Gasteiz, he became the assistant coach for Paco Olmos in his time at Menorca which was where the team was in last place, Valencia Basket, where Olmos was fired in the course of the season, and as coach of the Puerto Rico national team, which won an Olympic silver at 2014’s Centrobasket.
The year 2013 was the time he was brought in 2013 in 2013 to Laboral Kutxa as assistant of Sergio Scariolo. Then, in November of 2014 following the demotion by Scariolo as well as Marco Crespi, Navarro assumed the position of head coach. In February of 2015 the club released an article about his time as head coach.
In June 2018, Navarro ended contract with UCAM Murcia and signed a two-year deal with MoraBanc Andorra.
