Ian Gorst, born 15 December 1969, is an elected member of States of Jersey and the Minister for External Affairs. He was previously the Chief Minister of Jersey from 18 November 2011 to 7 June 2018. He was previously an accountant.

In November 2011, he was elected Chief Minister for Jersey and became the first Chief minister to serve two terms. John Le Fondre succeeded him in June

2018. The new Chief Minister named Senator Gorst Minister for External Relations. This is a position he took over from Sir Philip Bailhache.

Gorst served as Minister for Employment and Social Security at the Council of Ministers from 2008 to 2011. His term of office saw the introduction of a system to pay redundancy, criticisms about the income support system, and an increase in state pension age from 65 to 67. A new system was also established for funding care for old people.
