He signed an A-League contract with Western Sydney Wanderers on 11 September 2012. La Rocca scored his debut goal for Western Sydney Wanderers in his second match, defeating Perth Glory on 18 November 2012. He signed a two-year contract extension with the Wanderers in February 2013.
La Rocca was expelled in the final minute of stoppage in the third Sydney Derby. He had elbowed Terry Antonis, a Sydney midfielder, in the temple. La Rocca was therefore unable to make it to the semifinal or final due to the ban. However, his club won the title in its debut season. He played in the Grand Final with Broich in 2013. Broich won the man-of-the-match award and Western Sydney Wanderes lost in extra-time 2-1. However, he won 2014 AFC Champions League with La Rocca as the start of both legs. This was the first time that an Italian had won that title.
