Hunter Taverner Hillenmeyer, born October 28, 1980, is an ex-NFL linebacker for American football. The Green Bay Packers drafted him in the fifth round, 2003 NFL Draft. He also played for the Chicago Bears between 2003 and 2010. Hillenmeyer went to Montgomery Bell Academy for high school and played college football at Vanderbilt University.

After being cut by the Packers in the 2003 preseason, Hillenmeyer signed for the Bears. Hillenmeyer was a special team player for the Bears for most of

2003. He tied for fifth in Chicago with 12 special-teams tackles as a rookie and played 13 special teams games. In 2004, he was the starting strong sidelinebacker. He also started 12 of the 13 first games at SLB before a thumb injury forced him to miss the remaining 3 regular season games. The Bears signed Hillenmeyer, a $13 million, five-year contract extension that ran through 2010, which included a $5,000,000 signing bonus. He played 13 games as a strongside linebacker that season and finished with 68 tackles. He played in 16 of his career’s 16 games in 2007. Hillenmeyer grew up in Nashville and attended Harding Academy before transferring to Montgomery Bell Academy (MBA). Hillenmeyer was an All-state, All region, and All-district selection at Montgomery Bell Academy.
