Hu Na (Chinese pronunciation: Hu Nuo; pinyin pronunciation: Hu Na) is an ex-professional tennis player who defected from the People’s Republic of China in 1982 to the United States, sparking a Cold War-era diplomatic episode. The Hu Na incident was one of the major tests in the newly established diplomatic relations between the two nations.
