Hristo Yanev is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on May 4, 1979 in Kazanlak Municipality, Bulgaria. Hristo Yanev (Bulgarian Khristo Ianev; born 4 May 1979, Kazanlak) was a former player and football manager from Bulgaria. Yanev was a midfielder.

Yanev, a CSKA player, has been twice champion of Bulgaria in 2003 and 2005. He also won the 2006 national cup. He played in 146 APF games and scored 54 goals during his six-year career with the club.

Two years later, on 9 May 2006, Yanev netted his third goal for the senior team as he scored the winning strike in a 2–1 victory over Japan in a game of the Kirin Cup.

In summer of 2006, Grenoble Foot 38 signed Yanev to a three-year deal. For three years he made 50 appearances in league and scored six goals for Grenoble. With the club he played two seasons in Ligue 2 and one in Ligue 1.

Yanev, who had only played one season at Beroe in 1999, signed for CSKA Sofia when he was just 20 years old. Since then, he has been an integral part of the team. Yanev can play as either a winger, or second striker.

Yanev, who was born in Kazanluk and made his professional debut at Olimpik Teteven during 1997-98 season. He joined Beroe Stara Zagora in 1999 and scored 7 goals in 27 matches.

Two weeks later, on 4 September, Yanev scored his first international goal in a 3–1 win over Iceland in a 2006 World Cup qualifier. On 13 October, he scored the second goal in Bulgaria’s 4–1 win over Malta in Sofia.
