Heidi Alexander is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on April 17, 1975 in Swindon, England, United Kingdom. Born 17 April 1975, Heidi Alexander is a British Labour Party politician and is currently the Deputy Mayor for Transport in London under Sadiq Khan. She is also Deputy Chair for Transport for London. From the 2010 general election she was the Member of Parliament (MP), Lewisham East. She resigned in May 2018 to rejoin the mayoral team. On 13 September 2015, she was elected Shadow Secretary of State for the Health. However, she resigned on 26 June 2016.

Alexander was made Shadow Secretary of State in Health on the 13th September 2015, just days after Jeremy Corbyn was elected Labour leader. Alexander was the first Shadow Cabinet minister to resign following the EU referendum results and the dismissal of Hilary Benn. I loved being shadow health secretary. Alexander stated that he hated being part the shadow cabinet because it was “totally dysfunctional”, “so unprofessional, so inept, and so shoddy.” It was not an effort to create a team. She supported Owen Smith’s failed attempt to replace Jeremy Corbyn as Labour Party (UK), leader election in 2016.

In January 2017, Alexander proposed a “reasoned amendment” to stop the trigger of Article 50. Alexander co-chairs with Alison McGovern the Labour Campaign for the Single Market, and is a leading supporter of Open Britain.

On 8 May 2018, Alexander announced she was to resign her seat to become Sadiq Khan’s deputy mayor for transport in London. Alexander said, “London is a fantastic city. I know Sadiq wants its transport system to be the envy of the world and I am looking forward to playing my part in making that happen.”

She was a member the Communities and Local Government Select Committee and supported Andy Burnham in the Labour leadership. She was the Parliamentary Private Secretary to Shadow Secretary of State Mary Creagh MP, and served from 2012 as Opposition Whip and (since December 2013) Shadow Minister for London. She was Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Choice At the End of Life.
