Kalenchuk was born in Edmonton, Alberta. She won the 2002 provincial high- school mixed championship. She participated in the provincial junior championship three times, in 2003, 2004, and 2005. The team participated in the first Saskatchewan Scotties Tournament of Hearts 2008, and again in 2009. They would not achieve success until the 2010 Saskatchewan Scotties Tournament of Hearts. This was when they would finally be able to represent Saskatchewan at Scotties Tournament of Hearts 2010. They would finish with a record of 6-5, but they missed the playoffs. They would be crowned Saskatchewan champions again in 2011. The team finished round robin with a 9-2 record and advanced to the Scotties Tournament of Hearts 2011. They lost the first game to Canada and won the semi-final against Ontario. They would face Team Canada (Jennifer Jones) in the final. This time, they would win the Canadian Championship by winning the 10th end. It was the first time that a Saskatchewan team had won the National Championship since 1997. The team won a silver medal at 2011 Capital One World Women’s Curling Championship.
After seven years of playing with her Canadian Championship winning team, Holland announced that she would leave her squad. Holland told her team she wants to go in another direction. Kalenchuk has since decided to step away from the game for a few years, leaving Kim Schneider and her sister Tammy Schneider pondering their curling future. This departure by Holland left the four players ineligible for $72,000 worth of federal funding earned from winning the 2011 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, and they will forfeit their spot earned in the Olympic Curling Pre-Trials.
