Pozzessere founded the Florida chapter of Romance Writers of America. Since 1999, she has hosted the annual Romantic Times Vampire Ball. She hosted the first Writers for New Orleans event on Labor Day 2006 with workshops and a dinner theatre to benefit the city’s libraries. It became an annual event in 2007 thanks to Labor Day.
