Every-Hall, who had won the 2002 World Championships, fell ill while training for the 2004 Summer Olympics. She later discovered that she had suffered from exercise-induced anaphylactic shock. After having a family, Every-Hall quit rowing to start a business. She had two sons in 2006 and 2008. She was a coach at her club, which was dominatedly masters rowing. Sometimes she got back into rowing. She was again in competition, this time as a 2009 Masters and Senior A at the Australian Rowing Championships 2010. There she won the lightweight single, double, and quad sculling events, and was chosen for Queensland representative crews. In 2011, and 2012, she won the National Championships in lightweight single scull. In the same event, she finished 2nd in 2014 and 2016.

She raced for Queensland for the Victoria Cup in quad sculls in 2010, 2011 (stroking the boat to victory), 2012 and 2014.

She raced again with McNamara in a double scull at Bled 2011 and they again placed fifth.

At the 2002 World Rowing Championships, Seville, Spain, she was the first Australian senior representative to make the lightweight quad. Marguerite Houston, Miranda Bennett, and Zita de Walle won a gold medal, a World Championship title, and a new record time. This was Australia’s second consecutive World Championship win in the boat class.
