Atari Teenage Riot’s 2000 non-definitive break and Carl Crack’s subsequent death from a drug overdose in 2001, led to ATR members splitting up and Elias establishing Fatal Recordings, her own record label.

Elias’ DHR spinoff company, “Fatal”, became an independent entity, and is now based in Berlin, rather than London, after the split of ATR’s members. Elias has released many albums since then, and her Fatal label boasted artists such as Tara Delong, Phallus Uber Alles and Kunst. Elias has performed duets and remixes alongside such artists as Thurston Moore and J Mascis, Alexander Hacke and Merzbow, Alec Empire, and Le Tigre. Elias joined the US tour of Pigface in 2005 and began to work with their industrial project Pigface.

After a brief, unhappy spell with the Phonogram record company, ATR set up their own label, Digital Hardcore Recordings, which became known for its distinctive sound – a hybrid of punk, techno, and heavy metal, also known as Digital Hardcore.
