Hamdi Aslan, a former Turkish footballer and coach, was born 6 September 1967. He was the head coach for the Turkey women’s football team from 2006 to 2010.
Aslan started his playing career with Trabzonspor, his local club’s youth team. TFF First League, and then in the Super Lig. He capped 156 matches and scored 16 goals in league matches. As a result, he won three Turkish Cups, two President’s Cups and three Prime Minister’s Cups with his club. Aslan was transferred to Adanaspor of the TFF Second League in 1996-97, where he played in 88 matches and scored 23 goals.
He made his debut in the Turkey Under-21 Championship – Qualifying Stage Group 4 on March 3, 1987 in the friendly match against the Romanian juniors. He was a part of one of the four matches of the 1988 UEFA European Under-21 Championship – Qualifying Stage Group 4 and five of six matches of the 1990 UEFA European Under-21 Championship – Qualifying Stage Group Group 3. Aslan captained the Turkey U-21 team nine times.
