Half Pint is one of the most popular and richest Singer-Songwriter who was born on November 11, 1961 in Kingston, Kingston Parish, Jamaica. Half Pint, born 11 November 1961, is a Jamaican ragga, reggae, and dancehall singer.

Pint’s 1983 debut single, “Sally”, was followed by “Winsome,” which became reggae’s number one hit. Pint continued to release hits that were popular in the local and global reggae scene, such as “Mr. Landlord,” Level the Vibes,” and “Winsome”. Half Pint’s greatest hit, “Greetings”, was also released on Powerhouse in 1986. It was recorded in one take. Roberts also has a number albums. His biggest fanbases can be found in Europe, Japan and Brazil as well as the West Coast of America.

Sublime’s 1996 hit, “What I Got”, was based on the chorus of Half Pint’s track “Loving”.

Despite being noticeably absent from the recording studios for most of this decade, Half Pint enjoyed relative success with Legal We Legal (his first studio album within a ten-year period). This was followed by a fifteen city US tour with Anthony B. Half Pint was presented with “The Key to The City of Lauderdale Lakes” by the Mayor of the Florida suburb in 2000. Half Pint was featured on Sly & Robbie’s 25th Anniversary US Tour along with Tony Rebel and Heineken Startime appearances in December 2004 in Jamaica. Half Pint has worked with the California-based band, DubCat. The New York-based Sotti Records label released a Half Pint single in 2005, “Wha Ya Wan,” an updated remake of his “Winsome” with R&B singer DIA.

Half Pint’s 1983 Jamaican number one song, “Winsome”, was covered by The Rolling Stones. However, it was renamed to “Too Rude” in 1986 for their Dirty Work album. Sublime covered Half Pint’s song “Loving” back in 1996. Half Pint kept his public image high through frequent touring and guest appearances. He has also performed at rock concerts and music festivals. Half Pint’s song “Giving/Sharing”, which was featured on The Mighty Quinn’s soundtrack album (1989), is featured. His music was also used in Substitute 2 (1998) and Mookie (1998). Half Pint signed with BMG Music Publishing Company in 1998.

Half Pint started singing in the All Saints’ Primary School school choir. He began his secondary education in 1976 and sought employment as a singer within the Jamaican music business. Half Pint toured Jamaica with several sound systems, including Black Scorpio and Jammys, Gemini, Lee’s Unlimited, Killimanjaro, and Gemini. Later, he worked with many record producers including Errol (John), Marshall; Errol(Myrie) Lewis; King Jammy and Sly and Robbie; George Phang and Jack Scorpio; Bobby “Digital” Dixon and Mass Hugh. He collaborated also with Tony Rebel, Garnett Silk and The Tamlins.

Money Man Skank was a King Jammy recording in the early 1980s. It had energy, ebullience, and a style that exemplified the dancehall vibe.
