Gyanendra Malla is one of the most popular and richest Cricketer who was born on September 16, 1990 in Nepal. Gyanendra Malla (Nepali jnyaanendr mll ), is a Nepalese cricketer who is currently the captain of the national team. He is a right-handed cricketer and occasionally a wicket- keeper. In March 2006, he made his debut for Nepal against Namibia. He was one the 11 cricketers who played in Nepal’s inaugural One Day International (ODI), match against the Netherlands in August 2018.

In the 2014 ICC World Cricket League Division Three, he scored his maiden century in defeat to Singapore. He scored 241 runs over six innings, an average of 48.20 in the tournament. In practice matches against Ragama Cricket Club (a Sri Lankan first-class cricket team), he scored 167 runs off 157 balls during Nepal’s tour of Sri Lanka.

Gyanendra Malla became the seventh Nepalese cricketer to score an international century, when he slammed 114 off 125 balls against Singapore during the 2014 ICC World Cricket League Division Three in October 2014.

In the 2015 ICC World Cricket League Division Two, he scored 236 runs in 6 innings at an average of 59.00. Nepal qualified for the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship but failed to secure promotion to Division One and qualification to the 2015–17 ICC Intercontinental Cup.

Malla is the reliable batsman in Nepal’s team, who enjoys building the innings under pressure. He is a key member of the national team, and has played a significant role in many of Nepal’s historical successes. He holds the record for hitting six ‘4s in an over while he was scoring the fastest Half-century for Nepal in One-Day matches, with just 17 deliveries against Saudi Arabia during the 2012 ACC Trophy Elite. His impressive 42-run average, including two fifties, helped Nepal win the title. Some of his most memorable innings include the 86 runs against Canada at the Cricket World Cup Qualifier in 2014, the 66 runs against USA at the final of Division Four in 2012, the 76* runs against Qatar in 2008 ACC Trophy Elite, the 75 runs against USA and Division Five in 2008. He also scored 67 runs off only 21 balls against Karnataka Institute of Cricket, (SAARC Under-25 Twenty20 Cup 2011,) among others.

Malla made his debut in 2005 for Nepal as an U-15 cricket player. In 2005, he represented Nepal in ACC U-17. In June 2019, he was named as the vice-captain of Nepal’s squad for the Regional Finals of the 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier tournament.
