K.R.C. was his home. Kiala Mechelen was a coach for the youth team. His coaching career with senior teams began in 2000, when he was appointed as assistant coach at KSK Sint-Paulus Opwijk (4th division). He also taught youth teams. After Vandevelde’s departure, Kiala was appointed assistant coach and became the head coach in 2008. He was unable to overcome a 7-to-9 score in the final round and decided to leave the club to become the head coach of Eendracht Opstal, the fourth division.
He was an assistant coach for the Belgian National Military Football Team from 2005 to 2010. This was with both women and men teams.
