Greg Watson is one of the most popular and richest Cricketer who was born on January 29, 1955 in Mudgee, Australia. Gregory George Watson (born 29 January 1955) is an ex- Australian First-class cricketer, who was a player in the domestic league for New South Wales and Western Australia as well as playing for Worcestershire for English County Cricket.

Watson was scheduled to play just one match more only once during the 1979-1980 Sheffield Shield for Western Australia against Queensland in Perth. The game ended in a draw however, Watson himself played a poor game: he gave up 135 runs over 30 overs of six balls and was left with only the wickets of the second innings that included Ray Phillips and Alec Parker to demonstrate it. Watson did not play in the first class ever again, though he continued to play semi-professionally with Billingham , Crewe, Stourbridge and Smethwick.

The year was 1978 and Watson moved to England as a county player for Worcestershire. He was able to have a fairly successful season in which he took 48 first-class wickets with just under 32 in just 21 games. He also scored a career-best 645 in a game against Sussex in the beginning of August. He also scored his best score in the field 38 in the match against Somerset. In one-day cricket, he scored amazing success, taking 19 wickets for 9.52 per wicket, which included 5-22 (again an all-time high) in the match against Combined Universities in the Benson and Hedges Cup. It was the performance that earned him the Man-of-the-Match award.
