Greg Alexander James Stewart (born 17 March 1990) is an Scottish footballer who is a forward for the Scottish Premiership club Rangers. He was previously a player with Scottish club Cowdenbeath, Dundee, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock and also with Birmingham City of the English Championship.

On the 12th of August, the 12th of August, Stewart signed a three-year deal to join Birmingham City; the fee was not disclosed but was according to The Dundee Evening Telegraph as an initial figure of PS500,000 that could increase to over PS1 million. Stewart was introduced as a substitute in a draw of 1-1 against Wigan Athletic on 16 August after which he remained on the bench until he got is what Birmingham Mail dubbed a deserved debut in an unusually aggressive lineup in the home fixture against Preston North End. The team was able to come back from a 2-0 deficit to draw, but Stewart’s performance was not as effective. Stewart made four games in December following the announcement that Gianfranco Zola was appointed Gary Rowett as manager, however, he finished the season in the fringe position with just 21 league appearances of which six were included in the starting eleven with no goals.

On 13 June 2019, Rangers announced that Stewart had joined the Scottish Premiership club on a two-year contract. Stewart was a free agent with his contract at Birmingham City allowed to expire. He made his competitive debut for Rangers on 9 July 2019 in a 4–0 win over St Joseph’s of Gibraltar in the first leg of the First Qualifying Round of the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League.

Birmingham City opted to recall Stewart from his loan to Kilmarnock in January 2019, and then loaned him to Aberdeen again, until the end of the season. He went straight into the starting eleven for the following day’s Scottish Cup match, played the whole match, and shot against the crossbar from 18 yards (16 m), as Aberdeen drew 1–1 at home to third-tier Stenhousemuir. He ended the season with two goals from 20 appearances in all competitions (one from 15 in the league).

On April 7, 2014, it was announced the fact that Stewart was a signee of a pre-contract contract with Dundee and was expected to join the club after the expiration the term of the Cowdenbeath contract. Stewart scored his first goal when Dundee defeated Peterhead by 4-0 in the opening round of the Scottish League Cup on 2 August 2014. In January of 2015 Stewart signed an extension to his contract until the end of 2017. Stewart was named the SPFL player of the month in January 2015, with five goals scored in 7 games in the month. Stewart was selected as one of the four players shortlisted to be considered for 2013-14 PFA Scotland Players’ Player of the Year award and was nominated for the award for a second time in April of 2016.

Stewart began his footballing career at Rangers Academy, and he played until 13. Then he joined the Hearts youth team and was then released because of his size. He continued to train at Falkirk as well as Stirling Albion for almost a year prior to joining Syngenta Amateurs F.C. in 2007.

He scored on his debut after “a run from half way that ended with an exquisite chip over the goalkeeper” to clinch a 2–0 win away to his former club Aberdeen, and scored again in his second match, albeit in a losing cause away to Hibernian. Stewart scored eight goals in 16 appearances for Kilmarnock in the first part of the 2018–19 season, which helped them into third place in the league.
